Olivia has been developing her sitting abilities, and has begun sitting for longer periods of time, especially when she is entertained. One of her new forms of entertainment was unexpected...our fire. It appears we have a little pyromaniac on our hands! We have caught her staring at our fire on multiple occasions. Along with her improved sitting has come an increase in her movement. Just today she was chasing a rubber duck around the family room. It was just out of reach, and each time she got close her fingers would push it further away since she couldn't quite grasp it. She didn't get far inching around on her belly, instead of rolling or scooting on her back, but the prospect is making me nervous...

St. Louis City Museum
Little Swimmer
I went to St. Louis with Olivia and some of my family while Bobby studied for finals. This was Olivia's first opportunity to go swimming, other than the lake this summer when she was 2 months old (which was only happening over my dead body). She was able to experience her first swim in the indoor hotel pool, which was fairly warm. She LOVED it, just as I had predicted! Plus she sported the bikini very nicely, with her leg rolls and all!
Turkey Day Weekend
The following three pictures made me laugh, due to the variety of expressions. I'm just guessing here, but I think Olivia and Bobby may have been scaring Isabelle. By the end, she looks a little unsure of her company.

First Meal (of Rice Ceareal...YUM!)
After getting the green light at her checkup today we came home and fed Olivia her first rice cereal. She did a GREAT job! Of course we knew she would! She has been very interested in food, and has successfully dumped my plate on more than one occasion. We knew she was ready, and were so excited to capture this fun milestone in her life!
First Tooth!!!
Olivia's first tooth popped up yesterday. She had been extra drooly (not a word, but I'm using it anyway!) lately, but I was expecting all of the awful symptoms usually associated with teething as a final warning sign. Luckily, it came in with no major issues! Then, at her 6 month checkup today, the Dr. told us it looks like #2 will be on its way soon. So I'm issuing fair warning now...Olivia can bite! :)

Best Friends
Olivia and Daisy are already turning into best friends. They know they are supposed to keep a safe distance from one another, but they both would LOVE a chance to cuddle/lick/slobber each other. Today Daisy proved to be great entertainment for Olivia. The video is a little dark, but the audio is the key. So turn your speakers up and be prepared to smile! :)
Daddy and Olivia were sure having fun!
All Grown Up!
Olivia's highchair came in on Tuesday, so I had Bobby immediately put it together. After which, Olivia had to try it out. I was a little nervous at how well she would be able to sit in it, but was surprised by the results....my little teeny tiny baby is all grown up!! At least that is how I felt when I saw her sitting up like such a big girl in her highchair all by herself.

Zebra or Siberian Tiger?
Since we put Olivia in her Halloween costume on Saturday, it has been almost impossible for us to take it off of her...she's just too darn cute! Our only dilemma has been what animal she is dressed up as - a zebra or a Siberian tiger? I'm siding on the zebra side, while Bobby likes calling her a tiger cub (which I admit, has a cute ring).
Saturday we went to the church trunk-or-treat. After trying all week to kill the battery on my camera (unsuccessfully), the battery decided it needed to be recharged a couple hours before we left. Since it takes 4 hours to charge, we have no photographic evidence of the trunk-or-treat...which makes me VERY sad! So, to make up for it, we went on a walk Sunday afternoon with Olivia in her costume and took some pictures then.

I apologize for the lack of make-up...this was after my Sunday afternoon nap!
How could you not kiss that sweet little animal?!?
